I'm not sure what to make of you
because this has never happened before
I don't even know what is true
just hoping for an answer to was ashore
But what does it even matter?
the ball is out of my court
and while I'm trying to think, all i can here is the chatter
of what everyone else will say. But I fear time's running short
because I'm nervous for the first time
afraid for a soul to move
and as I try and remember my line
Ive found Ive got something to prove

Its all coming down to this
everything that's to be had here
and the words hanging on your lips,
trying to break past that fear.
And as this warm air shines down
melting all that hostility, some of the harm
and the rest set on the ground
for someone else to find.
And while I'm caught, past the eye of the storm
and can see that the worst is just about done
I'm back in the past, staring at such a great chasm
stuck behind everything that will happen
just standing there in the sun
everything that's to be had here
and the words hanging on your lips,
trying to break past that fear.
And as this warm air shines down
melting all that hostility, some of the harm
and the rest set on the ground
for someone else to find.
And while I'm caught, past the eye of the storm
and can see that the worst is just about done
I'm back in the past, staring at such a great chasm
stuck behind everything that will happen
just standing there in the sun

Hey all. You have probably by now have noticed something a little bit different about the blog. Yep! I thought it was time to give it a 'face lift' to kick off the new year - and I'm not done yet! Along with the change in look, I will start doing something a new that I saw on another blog and thought was really cool. I know I love to read, and am always looking for a good book, so I figured some of you might be too. So, I'm going to be starting a 'teaser' post every so often.
Here is how it works:
~take the book you are currently reading
~pick two lines, and post them in a comment here
~be sure to include the title and author of the book, and try to avoid any spoiler lines.
And that's it! If you aren't reading a book at the moment, you can just use one that you have already read ;)
